Digital Geometries

MArch | Fifth Year | Material Practices [Individual]

Digital Geometries was a sub unit of the Material Practices module, designed to develop learning through making. The brief for the project was to develop and iterate an interlocking connective artefact that combined a range of materials and processes. Laura’s final piece was comprised of resin and PLA 3D printed elements which interconnected and locked into a timber base, with a relief manufactured using the CNC Router. The design and development stages were achieved by exploring the sub division tools on Rhino.
